My live set from Space, Ibiza on Tuesday 19th July 2016 for Carl Cox's final season of 'Music is Revolution'. One of the best nights of my life.
Hope you enjoy the set, please share if you do + download :)
The lead track on Lauren Lo Sung's EP called 'Tresor', has been building up a steady amount of steam since she teased us all with a video of her playing it. That video has amassed over 125,000 plays and we're thrilled to bring you the full release.
It's delectably rolling and features a killer set of percussion, not to mention some serious drops. Don't sleep on this one, it's going to soundtrack your Spring months, and then some.
Lauren Lo Sung’s ‘Tresor’ EP is out on House Puff on April 10
Liverpool lass Lauren Lo Sung has had one foot in the rave since she was 16. Skanking to funky house and hitting all-nighters at Sven Vath’s Cocoon night in Ibiza sparked an interest in house and techno that would see her become one the scenes youngest underground producers and DJs.
At 18, Lauren started running her own parties in sweaty basement clubs around Liverpool, Manchester and London and now at 24, is already able to tick opening up for Carl Cox at Space off her bucket list (he even danced behind her with one of her LOLiFE tee shirts on).
Now we welcome the selector into the mix for i-D, bringing a deep and dubby blend of house and techno for her debut i-DJ. Enter the sound of Lauren Lo Sung.
In 2017, Lauren Lo Sung had one of the best years of her career as she propelled into the spotlight more so than ever.
After the amazing 'Tresor' EP via House Puff, she heads over to DJ Steaw's main imprint 'Rutilance' for another super hyped record.
Lead track 'Worthless' has already been doing the rounds but now it's time for 'All Fuzzy', a sultry, bumping house track that's all killer and no filler.
The 'Worthless' EP will drop via Rutilance

Lauren Sung’s life changed after her first visit to Ibiza. It’s definitely a story we’ve heard before, although in her case it carries more weight than most: on her first visit as a teenager she spent her time watching the likes of Ricardo Villalobos play at Amnesia, with the experience having such a profound effect on her she vowed to return every year thereafter. By last year when she returned, she was warming up for Carl Cox on the final season of his legendary party at Space.
Sung’s career as a DJ moved somewhat quickly in those years in between: she started out with her own party series LOLiFE and e1even records label, with repeated visits to the White Isle unlocking her love for stripped-back, dubby techno. She’s now released for some of dance music’s key imprints, while her gig schedule has taken her to some of Europe’s best-loved clubs.
With her EC1 debut happening as part of Monki & Friends at Lovebox After Dark on 14th July, we got in touch with Sung for a mix ahead of her appearance.

We welcome Jamie Lie a Kwie and Lauren Lo Sung, the newest members of Vatos Locos.
Rotterdam raised Jamie is a real master of the groove, his selection of hypnotising house, minimal and deep techno is a force to be reckoned with.
Liverpool native Lauren is known for her dub techno sound entwined with grooves, breaks and impeccable basslines.
Together they played a bomb set at our Sonar showcase
The Liverpool-born, Lauren Lo Sung, took the country and the club world by storm, steadily growing her status from a Northern local hero, to an Egg London resident, to an Ibiza darling in the space of a few years. Just in 2017, she played fabriclondon and was one of Mixmag’s breakthrough DJs. Hearing hear eclectic set on NYD at Tobacco Dock, there wouldn't have been a better indicator that she was truly a good match with the MEOKO podcast series. Therefore, naturally, we asked her to record a MEOKO exclusive mix, which she agreed to, and which you can hear in all its glory right here!
We are pleased to hear how Lauren managed to bring many different influences — some dub here, some acid there — together into something super coherent and absolutely stomping. It is fair to say, when those dubby chords come in around the 21’ mark, you know you’re in for a treat. But listen for yourself and read our exchange with the up-and-coming DJ.
