3. Ken Ishii - Malfunction Manipulation (Funk D'Void Remix)

Ken Ishii - Malfunction Manipulation (Funk D'Void Remix)

Download full tracks at: http://lbl.gr/Zk7Km3 // After 'Twitched' and four remix releases later, Ken Ishii reveals his latest EP 'Malfunction Manipulation'. The renowned Japanese DJ received international acclaim early on in his career, producing the official theme song of the 1998 winter Olympics in Nagano and making the cover of Newsweek two years later as a symbol of modern Japanese culture. Since then, Ken Ishii has toured internationally playing in festivals such as Monegros, WIRE, and earlier this year in Tomorrowland. A true international artist, Ken teams up with London-based DJ Funk D'Void and Venezuelan-born DJ Greencross for this new release of chill, glitchy techno. In the words of Ishii himself, "interesting musical pieces derive from malfunctions of machines or musician's irregular deeds. It's usually not controllable, but if you can control it you would be able to rule this music world." Ken demonstrates his mastery over his instruments in "Malfunction Manipulation," a slow-building track buzzing with electricity. The sounds edge towards the breaking point before they are pulled back at the last second into the discipline of the tight beat. Funk D'Void follows up with his remix of the track which highlights the ambient and melodic undertones of the original. Finally, Greencross gives the track a harder edge with a hint of 8-bit nostalgia in his version. A remix release is already in the works, set to hit the stores in summer 2018. Download full tracks at: http://rinse.it/KBg2Ij // To celebrate the imminent arrival of our hundreth release, we present 'Twitched Remixes' an official remix series from the original track by Ken Ishii. Gayle San opens the series with a hypnotic take settled over a bass heavy foundation. A remix reminiscent from the early detroit techno grooves was the result from Sascha Zastiral's intervention. The sound of Belgium can be recognized all over the rework made by Stanny Franssen & Ortin Cam, whose interpretation starts to dwelve in to the crunchy areas of techno. Oliver Kucera pushed the limits to the extreme with a 'Glitched Rework' that serves as the closing track for the first part of the remix series. Part two is coming next week. Ken Ishii - Twitched (Alberto Ruiz Remix)

Download full tracks at: http://rinse.it/1hIxJZ // The third chapter of the Ken Ishii - Twitched Remixed series arrives with four fresh official reinterpretations. Alberto Ruiz, the techno fenomenon from Spain bears the authorship of the inaugural remix for this third episode. A potent remix watermarked with the producer's way, while preserving the kernel of the original. From Argentina falls the remix by Emanuel Kivietsboon: metallic, dark, hypnotic groover represent the adjectives many will employ to describe this punishing techno stomper. Old-school 90's techno constitutes the 'digital b-side' of this reference. Straight from Sapporo, Japan, Primitive Spirit establishes his skills by taking Twitched on a time-travel to the hard groove sound we all love from back in the day. To close the third delivery of the Twitched Remixed series, Glenn Keteleer known in the techno domain as Linear Straight, scalates the original recording into an orchestrated empire of soundscapes, synth lines and cutting edge drums, laid over a rock-solid bass foundation. The concluding part of this remix series is due in two weeks. Follow us to stay up to date on new music! Show your support at the links below! Endangered Techno Podcast 047 with Manuel Lauro in the mix

Manuel Lauro (FAZEmag), BIO In 1994 Manuel Lauro decided to quit the rave scene, which he participated in his youth in Germany throughout the twist of commercialisation in music. He decided to run an underground techno label called Turntable Tools shortly after he successfully quit high school. During this time he played as DJ where he used turntables at Musiktheater, now called 130 BPM, in Kassel. After a break when he successfully studied law science with a degree and becoming lawyer he got back into the techno scene 2010 visiting Mayday, Twenty Young, and shortly after that helping the crew of Raveline Magazine founding German FAZEmag. He restarted his DJ-career in Berlin @ the Old Magdalena Club, where he played at the closing. Open Air Gigs were @ Lichtpark Berlin. He also played several gigs in Cologne @ Warehouse(Essigfabrik, Elektroküche) and also @ Butan Club Wuppertal. He managed it to the main stage of the 6th Berlin Summer Rave @ Flughafen Tempelhof Berlin to the International Warehouse meets Bonzai Stage as DJ alongside his live project 'Goldstream' teaming up with his Partner King Brain. After that he played the Opening @ 1st Parookaville Warehouse Stage Airport Weeze and the opening in the New Magdalena Club in Berlin followed by another gig. At German FAZEmag he began to write Music Reviews for the last several years until today, getting lots of actual Promos from each state of the Art Techno Labels all around the World. He produced several bootlegs in order to play his unique sound which can be described as powerful straight forward Techno. The digital Relaunch of the Label 'Turntable Tools' is pending to spread this unique sound. 17. [DIDREC102] Ken Ishii - Twitched Remixed Part Four

[DIDREC102] Ken Ishii - Twitched Remixed Part Four

Download full tracks at: http://rinse.it/FUD_vq // Epilogues, closures, conclusions. The dawn of every project must always be completed with it's dusk. Behold the fourth and ending chapter of the Twitched Remixed series. The long awaited 2016 remix made by the techno samurai himself, Ken Ishii is the chosen track for the aperture of the series' last reference. With surgical precision the producer revisits his own original, rearranging Twitched into an even more powerful groove leading to the chaotic oblivion that Ken envisioned for the remix's breakdown. While the main synth line is melodic, Mika Kitten and Koichi Sato's remix lays upon a solid, bass-heavy foundation. A subtle but beautiful combination of two aspects often perceived ad opossite in the realm of techno, that constitutes the reference's second track. AMEE, the project orchestrated by Yohey Suzuki and Nako, bears the authorship of the third remix of this release. An acid techno stomper, produced under a supreme attention to detail, revealing astronomic levels of passion concentrated in this paramount remix. Heavy beats and powerful percussion permeate the remix created by Barcelona's Victor Del Moral. Straight grooves lead to a spacious breakdown with smashing comeback, maximising dance floor reaction. Obsidienne 'breaks chains and brings punk to underground dance music with the touch of a black magic woman', and her remix exists loyal to her statement. Get lost on the infinite depth and swirl in a spiral of off-beat synth patterns hovering over a heavy and dirty bass line. Thanks a lot to everyone who made this possible. From our partners Elektron, Bastl Instruments, Erica Synths, Rainger FX, Bitwig, Dreadbox, to our artists, specially Ken Ishii for his talent and patience. And most importantly: thanks to you for making this record label possible. Follow us to stay up to date on new music! Show your support at the links below!
